Steve Dickinson and Skinners Bluff primarily offers a show band format. Non-stop shows of 2 hours, 90 minutes or 60 minutes are targeted toward concert promoters and festival directors.​

Steve Dickinson himself receives constant offers to be the frontman for touring tribute acts covering artists such as Bob Seger and CCR. Rather than being a tribute act or a cover band, the Skinners Bluff format includes several of Steve’s original songs as well as select cover song material that has been described as “a tribute to the greatest rock and roll singers of our time”.
